Vaborbactam is a non-β-lactam β-lactamase inhibitor used as a pharmaceutical raw material. Although it does not possess intrinsic antibacterial activity, it restores the effectiveness of certain antibiotics by inhibiting β-lactamase enzymes that would otherwise degrade them.
