About this list
Mercury and mercury compounds controlled under the Minamata Convention on Mercury, administered by UNEP. The Convention restricts the supply, trade, use and manufacture of mercury-added products and processes to protect human health and the environment from anthropogenic mercury emissions and releases. ChemAbout lists elemental mercury and the mercury compounds named in Article 3 of the Convention (mercury(I) chloride, mercury(II) oxide, mercury(II) sulfate, mercury(II) nitrate and mercury sulfide/cinnabar); mixtures and mercury-added products are regulated at the product level and are not expanded into CAS rows.
