Cedrol is a tertiary alcohol and a cedrane sesquiterpenoid, widely used as a fragrance ingredient for its woody and spicy notes. It has been in public use in perfumery since the 1930s and also serves as a feedstock for producing other perfumery compounds such as cedryl acetate.
