Cytidine monophosphate, also known as 5'-cytidylic acid, is a nucleotide monomer used in the biosynthesis of RNA. It consists of a phosphate group, the pentose sugar ribose, and the nucleobase cytosine, and is an ester of phosphoric acid with the nucleoside cytidine.
