Dipentene is a colorless liquid with a lemon-like odor, commonly used as a flavor and fragrance ingredient. It is insoluble in water and has a flash point of 113 °F, making it also useful as a solvent for resins, waxes, and rubber, as well as a dispersing agent in paints, lacquers, and polishes.
