Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin, is a water-soluble B vitamin that functions as a cofactor in DNA synthesis, fatty acid and amino acid metabolism, and supports myelin formation and red blood cell maturation. It is an active pharmaceutical ingredient used in the manufacturing of vitamin B12 products.
