Isepamicin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic structurally related to gentamicin and amikacin. It exhibits activity similar to amikacin but with improved efficacy against bacterial strains resistant to other aminoglycosides, such as those producing 6'-N-aminoglycoside acetyltransferase.
