Herbicide for broadleaf weed control

Trifloxysulfuron-sodium is a sulfonylurea herbicide that inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS), an enzyme essential for the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids in plants. It is a systemic compound that moves throughout plant tissue, causing susceptible broadleaf weeds to stop growing soon after application, with death and decomposition occurring over several weeks.
