Anacetrapib is a cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) inhibitor used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient. It increases serum HDL-cholesterol levels and decreases LDL-cholesterol levels by reducing cholesteryl ester transfer from HDL to LDL or VLDL.
