Synephrine is an alkaloid that occurs naturally in some plants and animals and is also present in approved drug products. It is known for its longer-acting adrenergic effects compared to epinephrine and norepinephrine, and is found at very low concentrations in common foodstuffs such as orange juice and other orange products.
