Clevidipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient for the reduction of blood pressure when oral therapy is not feasible or not desirable. It is administered intravenously and has a short half-life of approximately one minute, allowing practitioners to titrate the dose to achieve desired blood pressure control.
