Cloperastine hydrochloride is a pharmaceutical raw material with antitussive and antihistamine properties, primarily used as a cough suppressant in several countries including Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil, and parts of Europe. It was first introduced in Japan in 1972 and later in Italy in 1981.
