Fenitrothion is a brownish-yellow organophosphate compound used as a broad-spectrum insecticide and acaricide. It acts as a contact and stomach poison against chewing and sucking pests on crops such as rice, orchard fruits, vegetables, cereals, cotton, and in forestry, and is also employed for controlling flies, mosquitoes, and cockroaches.
