2-Chloro-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)acetamide, known as delachlor, is a chloroacetanilide herbicide that was developed in the 1960s for use on grasses, rice, and sugarbeet. Commercialization was halted around 1974, and the compound is now considered obsolete, never having been registered in the United States.
