N6-Methyladenosine (m6A) is a naturally occurring modified nucleoside originally identified in the 1970s. It is one of the most abundant modifications in mRNA and DNA, and is found in many eukaryotes, viruses, and various types of RNA, including tRNA, rRNA, and long non-coding RNA.
