Pentane-1,5-diamine, also known as cadaverine, is a diamine compound that occurs naturally in small amounts in living organisms and is also produced during the decomposition of animal tissue. It is a colorless liquid with a strong, unpleasant odor and is primarily supplied as a pharmaceutical intermediate.
