Capmatinib hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of capmatinib, an orally bioavailable inhibitor of the proto-oncogene c-Met (hepatocyte growth factor receptor). It selectively binds to c-Met, inhibiting its phosphorylation and disrupting downstream signal transduction pathways, which may induce cell death in tumor cells that overexpress or have constitutively activated c-Met protein.
