(R)-dimethenamid is the inactive enantiomer of the herbicide dimethenamid-P. It has R configuration and is the non-herbicidal form of the compound, while its active enantiomer serves as the herbicide dimethenamid-P and the racemate is the herbicide dimethenamid.
